Richard Clay is a creative, agile, and people-savvy operator with a background in the Intelligence Community and start-up ecosystem. At the National Security Agency (NSA), Richard supported field marketing and business operations for intel-driven cybersecurity products designed for defense companies to mitigate nation-state cyber threats. Prior to this, he also supported and executed early-stage equity investments into technology start-ups at Intel Capital and Dorm Room Fund.
Amidst these experiences, Richard continues to embrace the value of the “selling ceremony” and luxury retail culture in corporate spaces. Inspired by the common thread between luxury retail and technology businesses, Richard co-founded The FELIX Experience to see the two paradigms collide and improve the overall work atmosphere.

Felix Johnson is a visionary, connoisseur, and curator with over 20 years of experience in fashion retail, passionately connecting clients to his love of style. Having honed his expertise at industry giants such as Banana Republic, Nordstrom, Saks, H&M, Prada, and Dior, Felix excelled in overseeing store operations, leading and motivating teams to achieve sales targets, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Despite his successes, Felix identified two critical gaps: the lack of support for emerging luxury brands, particularly those by underrepresented designers, and a shift away from the essential selling ceremony in the retail experience. Driven by his proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving, Felix founded The FELIX Experience to bridge these gaps and reinvigorate the luxury retail landscape.
